New Eye Catching look for High Barn Oils Products

Our bottles and containers now have a fresh new look designed by our good friend and graphic designer John Sleight. Here at High Barn Oils it was felt that the time had come for a change to our look, so we called upon John to work his artistic magic. John has reproduced the fabulous painting that adorns our office wall with kind permission from artist Tony Mercier.

Tony painted this wonderful picture of the Flax field at St.Meryn in Cornwall and Farmer Durwin Banks felt that the painting would create an eye catching connection with the Pods and bottled Oil for our customers. …

A Sussex farmer who produces Omega 3-rich linseed for human consumption has lost the first round in a fight to keep his farm-pressed oil VAT-free.

In a ruling that apparently flies in the face of government health policy, which urges consumers to increase their intake of the essential fatty acid Omega 3, Customs and Excise decided that linseed oil was not a food and therefore attracted a 171/2% bonus for the chancellor…
